A Festival for

Chronic Paddlers

The Lake Mary Jane Paddlefest is Orlando’s Largest, most inclusive SUP Race for Chronic Paddlers. Our mission is to build and connect the paddle community with a fun, charitable, and eco-minded event for all. We have spectator and family-friendly paddle races for every experience/competitive level, age, and paddle craft.  Benefitting Orlando Surfrider Foundation.

Plus a giant slip'n slide, beer, Red Bull Soundtruck, food and icecream, lawn games, playground, raffle, kids crafts, social paddle, paddle demos and clinic, SUP yoga class, happy hour party, Sunday Funday at the Springs, and more!

“There are a few races that nail the community aspect and this sits atop the leaderboard. Every year, they find a way to include everyone, raise awareness and enthusiasm for their causes and still pound out a competitive race with top paddlers… and don’t forget the fun!”

- Distressed Mullet.

Sunday Funday at the Springs & River Cleanup

Sunday, September 22 at 8a-11:30a

Location: Rainbow River - KP Hole Launch

We’ll meet early at the launch site to have the best experience on the river and to ensure parking as the lot gets full quick. Paddling upstream atop crystal-clear water, you’ll experience Florida’s tropical flora and fauna, and wildlife including birds, reptiles, fish, and the occasional otter. We’ll reach the head spring where we can dive into turquoise waters and refresh. They enjoy a nice, relaxing, leisurely float or paddle back, stopping at swimming holes and snorkeling along the way. We’ll also be cleaning up the river as we go using buckets and trash pickers from Orlando Surfrider to leave this beautiful place better than we found it. Once we get back we’ll refuel at Swampy’s riverfront restaurant just a short drive away.

Tickets are $65 including SUP rental (contact us for reservation - first come, first serve) or $35 BYOPaddle Craft - both tickets include your launch fee and guided tour. Racers sign up at registration link, non-racers contact Jessica at Jessica@waveofwellness.net.

2018 Race Recap & Results

The 7th year was the best year ever!

“Last weekend, the 7th Annual 2018 Lake Mary Jane Paddlefest in Orlando, Florida welcomed 132 total registered paddlers from all over the US—including Massachusetts, DC, and Tennessee— to one of the most fun events of the year.

There were a number of events including a 10K and 1 mi Green, the Homies Relay race, a drag race with one paddler pulling another and of course, the Kids Nugget Race where the future of SUP shreds.

There are a few races that nail the community aspect and this sits atop the leaderboard. Every year, they find a way to include everyone, raise awareness and enthusiasm for their causes and still pound out a competitive race with top paddlers… and don’t forget the fun!” - Distressed Mullet.
